Day 6

I am getting out of bed earlier every day, today being 5:00 and out by 5:15, walking to the Pharmacy Gardens, but I found all entrances closed, so instead of returning to the condo I decided to walk to the City Municipal Track, and even though the track was closed, the exercise equipment on the boundary of the track was accessible, so I was able to get a double distance walk and also work on my muscular strength. I think both places were closed due to a city ceremony. Hopefully this week both places reopen.

Since I had not looked at a map before going to the track, I had to rely on my memory from 6 years ago and somehow I was able to retrace my steps from way back then, everything coming back to me more clearly with each passing step.

In the Afternoon I studied game 2 from the Zurich 1953 chess tournament, Najdorf/Reshevsky, a Nimzo-Indian which ended in a draw.

After a nap I decided to walk to the old part of the city so that I could visit the Sunday night market. The market was crowded and filled with music and odors of food and colorful lanterns hanging over the scene.

Going to try to stay up late to watch the Bears football game. Probably won’t make it.
